A well made Tabla set from one of our preferred Banaras makers. A heavy 3.50 kg weight copper bayan (metal drum) with a matching heavy neem wood quality dayan (wooden drum). Built the traditional Banaras way with cord tension ropes for pure tone. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, please take a look for yourself at the details of this fine instrument. Tabla rings and covers are included in this package. All drums are completely set up by us before shipping. All of our Banaras bayans are not lacquer coated to provide a natural full sound; as with all copper, the metal can naturally oxide; this has no adverse effect on the tone or sound of the instrument.

Best set out there
Tabla was tuned properly, accordingly to how I mentioned to the store. Packaging was neat, shipping was prompt, and most importantly, tabla sounds AMAZING. If you are looking for a high-ended set, look no further than this one right here. Great buy!!

Great Tabla, great service
I purchased the MD Bombay style tabla from Kala Kendra recently - not only is the instrument a great pair or tabla's, but what a joy to play on. I own a MD Calcutta tabla set as well, and both are fantastic. Mickey at Kala Kendra was really helpful and had no issues showing me as many tabla's that I wanted to choose exactly what I wanted.
