This is a great set of tablas! Both drums are loud and extremely resonant and responsive, with great sustain. The tabla was a little larger than I expected, 5.75-6 in., but that is no problem at all. It came tuned very close to my requested pitch of C#, and has stayed very consistent. At first I thought the baya had a strange 1/2 step resonance when played open, but I hear more and more bayas with this sound, and am getting used to it. It actually gives a nice punch and growl to the sound, especially when sliding. I have a lot of work to do to level my playing up to these drums!

The gig bag is very nice, but just barely big enough for thus drum set.

Mickey, Sundeep and the rest of the team were excellent, accommodating, and Mickey took a great deal of time going over different options, addressing my concerns, and explaining things that I could have found on the website, all while maintaining good humor throughout.

Finally, I'm very glad that I upgraded to UPS shipping. I think that saved me a lot of headaches and was much,much faster.
