Redesigned shruti box for 2023. The reed board is made from well seasoned Teak wood, thirteen individual reeds setup chromatically (one full octave, C to C) and a two-part counter-balanced bellow system, allowing for maximum air flow. A full-size (commonly referred to 'Big Size") instrument, measures 40cm x 31cm x 7.5cm (16" x 12" x 3"). and weighs approximately 4 kgs.

Rich sound
I've heard another shruti box before (the kind commonly found on ebay for half the price). In comparison, the MKS shruti box has richer harmonics and a fuller, well balanced sound. It's a tad stockier than the aformentioned, but is slightly louder in volume. I was especially engrossed in the C-G-C keys as well as the keys of D-A played together. Thank You!

Beautiful
I was very nervous about ordering this item online as I had tested multiple shrutis at a recent retreat. They all had different sound quality as well as appearance. Surprisingly enough the price difference of each of the shrutis did not reflect the quality of the box. Definitely wanted one but am a true novice so a little gun shy in purchasing. Have to admit that I was very pleased with the condition and its sound! Extremely prompt delivery too!!!!

This is a wonderful starter instument for one starting to chant, Om, and learn sanskrit chants on. A wonderful salesmen Micki gave me honest information to make my choice. This is my first musical instrument...I LOVE IT!!!
